I thought that was odd, but I did double check the file location in the sticky, to no avail. I do not have a VLC listing in my preferences so I cannot seem to delete that. I dragged it to the trash from Applications, reinstalled from a fresh download, same result.

I went ahead and checked again, redownloaded the update through VLC, installed, restarted VLC and now, all that will happen in VLC is a fatal loop condition, with nothing being able to be played, instead the player just keeps showing a track restart loop of several times per second (all of my streaming links work fine in RealPlayer and iTunes).

I went ahead, it failed to download the update completely on the first try. However, I got a reminder to update in the last couple of weeks. I have always used VLC to stream audio off of the internet. I have a strange problem that cropped up in the middle of a failed update on 10.6.8.
